Typical Activities

Group play: Singing, dancing, play acting, games, reading, listening to tapes (story and music), and Circle time.

Free Play: Children have a choice of – blocks, kitchen toys, dolls and accessories, play set, Household toys, pull\push toys, art material, and we may watch an educational movie occasional. 

Academic: Learning ABC’s, numbers, shapes, learning the different colors, vocabulary, cutting, pre- math, pre-reading, pre-writing, sciences experiments, pre-geography. Spanish, we will learn words in Spanish and how to speak Spanish, as well.  Art (Painting, drawing, arts and crafts). We will introduce music to them and they will learn how to read and write music notes and to play the keyboard the basics according to their age.    

Language:  Nursery rhymes, finger plays, stimulus pictures or objects to encourage verbalization, reading to the children.

Dramatic Play: Dress up, role-playing, puppetry, etc.

Outdoors play: (Weather Permitting) Swinging, climbing, riding toys, ball playing, gardening toys, trucks, strolling dolls, (please remember to dress your child appropriately for the weather, if doubt, dress in layers or bring extra clothes)

 Special Days:    Include Birthdays and holidays.  We will have special celebrations (parties).   WE DO NOT CELEBRATE HALLOWEEN. Please do not dress up your child in a Halloween custom on Halloween day to come to Little Blessings Day Care.
